Finger and Thumb Operated Joysticks

Fingertip and thumb controlled joysticks are used for applications such as wheelchairs, robotic operations, medical instruments or when precision is essential.

HE1 Hall Effect Joysticks
are available in 2 or 3 axis with options of 2 open or 4 gated limiters. Designed to fit cut outs of 1.63” or 1.75” diameter depending on mounting style the HE1 series has a choice of 21 handle styles including options for 1 or 2 top buttons and standard or z-axis handles. Electrically rated for a supply voltage of 5VDC with a mechanical life of 5 million actuations in all directions and sealed to IP50, IP54 or IP67 depending on handle options.

HE2 Series Hall Effect Joysticks
are available in 2 or 3-axis with options of 2 open or 3 gated limiters. Designed to fit cut outs of 1.63” or 1.75” diameter depending on mounting style the HE2 series also has a choice of 6 handle styles including options for 1 or 2 top buttons and standard or locked z-axis handles. are created with built in redundant sensors and are available in 2 or 3 axis with options of open square or guided feel gates. Designed to fit cut outs of 1.625” or 2.25” diameter depending on mounting style the HE3 series also has a choice of 6 handle styles including options for 1 or 2 top buttons and standard or locked z-axis handles. Electrically rated for a supply voltage of 5VDC with a mechanical life of 5 million actuations in all directions and sealed to IP67.

Hall Effect Finger Joysticks

These finger joysticks all work with the Hall effect principle. Industrial Hall effect joysticks are similar to traditional potentiometric joysticks. They both give a proportional electrical output signal that corresponds with the position of the joystick lever. The difference is that the operating principle of hall effect joysticks is based on contactless hall effect technology where a magnet underneath the moving joystick lever affects the electromagnetic field that is generated by an hall effect sensor beneath the magnet. The advantage of hall effect technology over potentiometric technology is that there is no contact between the sensor and the moving magnet. Therefore the sensor element does not wear out by repetitive movements and heavy vibrations which results in a longer life expectancy.

30JB series
are extremely small. A 3-dimensional coordinate type is also available. Spring return device is incorporated inside the housing case. It automatically returns an operating lever tot the center position.

30JE series
are a modified versioen of the 30JB. Instead of potentiometers, swithces are incorporated inside the housing case. A spring return device is incorporated inside the housing case.

30JH series
are a low-cost version of a 3-dimensional coordinate type joystick controller. Spring return device and dust-proof rubber cover are fitted in the standard version.
