From June 19th to 21st, Althen Sensors & Controls hosted its annual Althen Academy Days, a prestigious event dedicated to the ongoing education and development of the international Althen sales teams. Held at Althen in Kelkheim near Frankfurt, the event brought together over 25 participants, including key partners and industry experts, to delve into the latest advancements in sensor technology and applications.
A Three-Day Immersion in Sensor Technology
At Althen, we firmly believe that continuous learning not only enhances professional growth but also contributes to a healthier, longer life. The Althen Academy Days, managed by Kees Bruijn, featured a comprehensive three-day program designed to train the sales teams on various products, solutions, and technologies relevant to the sensor market. The event included presentations and in-depth discussions about miniature pressure sensors, loads cells and from esteemed partners such as Microsensor, and Hitec, each bringing their expertise to the forefront.

Our ultra-miniaturized pressure sensors for harsh environments, was represented by Michel and Alexis. They highlighted the complexities of manufacturing these high-performance sensors, which operate in temperatures up to 185°C and are as small as 1.2mm. Their presentation underscored the importance of precision in applications like wind tunnel testing and Formula 1 development.
